Welcome!
Parents, Friends and Allies.

I’m a writer, educator and parenting coach. My debut memoir and parenting guide, About Bliss: Fighting for My Trans Son's Life, Joy, and Fertility will appear on bookshelves in February 2025. Written as a series of letters to my son, the book documents our family decision making during the year before his medical transition. I address gender dysphoria, hormone blockers, reproductive consequences of pediatric gender affirming care, and a myriad of issues that many parents of gender non-conforming children will face. More than that though, this book is about the power of parental imagination, and the work every parent does to ensure the best possible future for their child. I regularly host gender education workshops and work directly with parents of gender diverse kids. I am so looking forward to sharing my book with you.

Cristina Olivetti’s About Bliss is an indispensable resource for anyone who has a child, a relative, a coworker or a student who is gender nonconforming. More informative than any memoir, and more deeply personal than the usual guidebooks, About Bliss invents a new hybrid form to provide the blueprint for an informed and loving ally-ship. This book will help us build a better and more gender-compassionate world, and I am grateful for it.

My mission is to liberate as much creative energy into the world as I can. In the day-to-day this looks like:

Championing art and artists I admire.   //   Researching how creative people, especially women writers, generate their most juicy work.   //   Amplifying women’s voices through coaching and women’s circles.   //   Engaging in social justice causes that create the conditions for a broader range of people to generate their most creative contributions.   //   Producing my own best creative work and encouraging each of my family members to do the same.
