Hello Parents and Allies.

If you are looking for a place to feel welcome, to dive into the paradoxes of life, or to learn how to advocate for a loved one--welcome. I’m a writer, parenting coach, and maybe like you, an accidental activist. Until raising my trans child, I considered myself a community builder and a voter. But lately parenting, writing and community building have converged for me, resulting in (among other things) my latest writing project, About Bliss, a 60,000 word memoir that documents our family’s decision making process for our trans child. I regularly host gender education workshops and work directly with parents of gender diverse kids.

My mission is to liberate as much creative energy into the world as I can. In the day-to-day this looks like:

Championing art and artists I admire.   //   Researching how creative people, especially women writers, generate their most juicy work.   //   Amplifying women’s voices through coaching and women’s circles.   //   Engaging in social justice causes that create the conditions for a broader range of people to generate their most creative contributions.   //   Producing my own best creative work and encouraging each of my family members to do the same.
